Servings: 6
Prep Time: 10 Min. Cook Time: 18-22 Min. What you need:
* 11/4 c. crushed tomatoes or sauce tomatoes
* 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese * 1/4 tsp. dry, crushed basil leaves * 1/4 tsp. dry, crushed oregano leaves * 9 oz. prepared pizza dough * 1/2 c. Italian sausage, crumbled, browned, drained * 3/4 c. sliced mushrooms * 1/4 c. grated Asiago cheese * 1/3 c. chopped sweet green peppers * 3/4 c. (3 oz.) shredded provolone cheese * 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese What to do:
1. Mix the tomatoes with the Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano to make the pizza sauce.
2. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Shape the dough into a 12 in. round crust. Place the crust on pizza pans or large baking sheets. Ladle the sauce over the crust; spread evenly. Top pizza with the remaining ingredients. 3. Bake for 18 to 22 min., or until the crust is crisp and golden. Cut the pizza into 6 wedges. Tip: Instead of making the sauce, you can substitute 1 1/2 c. prepared pizza sauce for the tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano. |
